Pictures from my impromptu last-minute Oregon trip, which started last Thursday. First, I saw my friends the Partas who just (and I mean just) moved to Portland. They have a baby boy named Liam.

The next day (Friday) JR and Madonna and their family picked me up at the Partas, and we headed to the McKenzie river valley in central Oregon for some camping. Mark and Christy showed up later that evening with Margo and their new foster baby Tyreese.

The next day (Saturday) we headed a few miles away for a family reunion on Christy's side. The hosts were generous enough to take in the whole Lang lot.

Back again with some more pictures. First up, some gratuitous pet pictures:

Now, to the recent changes with the house. We painted the two secondary bedrooms, and planted a number of trees and a garden in the backyard.

Well, we continue to make progress on the landscaping. We planted lots of flowers yesterday, and today we had rock delivered, and have started laying it in the non-grassy areas. The backyard grass is finally starting to come in, but my camera ran out of battery power before I was able to take a picture. Maybe another day! It's still got a ways to go. Unfortunately, a landscape fabric staple puntured a main line in our sprinkler system when they first installed it. The slow leak soaked the nearby ground and caused a decent sinkhole, so that and our sprinkler system have to be fixed before we can put rock in that area, and not have to run the hose and soaker all over our yard!

Picture update! Been saving up, so got lots to post today. Let's start with some gratuitous shots of Bacon from February:

Some miscellanous home shots from March:

Finishing up with a host of shots from Mark, Christy, and Margo's trip here a couple weekends back. We did alot, including a trip to Horsetooth Lake, Estes Park, and the Denver Zoo:

Pictures from our recent trip to Colorado Springs for Ashley's mini-conference. She wasn't able to do much, but I was able to visit the Air Force Academy and Garden of the Gods, among other places.

More pictures of our place and our puppy. He's growing, and the house is coming together more every day!

Puppy Blogging!

We got a new puppy today. We call him Bacon. He is a 2-month black lab cross, with some tan hair. He is pretty mellow, which is nice, but he needs housetraining. We took him for a walk today, and although he hates his leash and will barely go anywhere with it, off-leash he heels very well. He's quite the cuddlebug and likes to sleep on your lap or in your arms. All in all, a pretty neat pup, and adorable as well. We love him!

Also posted are some pictures of our guest bed fabrics, for Barb.

Christmas pix, sorry for the delay. We went up to Breckenridge, and stayed with Ashley's parents. Ashley's brother Mat and his new wife Lonnae also were there. In addition to the usual Christmas celebration, we went snowmobiling in the high country!
